Dublin rock band The Coronas, one of the hottest live bands in Ireland will join The Script on tour across Europe this Spring.

The band are no strangers to opening for the biggest names in pop having caught the attention of both Paul McCartney and Pink who they have supported in Ireland.

The bands latest album 'Tony Was An Ex-Con' reached number three in the National charts with hit singles 'San Diego Song' and 'Won't Leave You Alone'. Whilst online the the band maintain a high profile withover one million collective views on YouTube.

The Coronas are quickly earning themselves an international reputation and following their 13 date tour across Europe the band will start a 16 date tour of the US.

The Coronas today announced 8 tour dates, in famous music venues all around the UK, this May. The band have sold out Dublin’s Olympia for 6 nights running and have added a date in Cork this June.

Having already sold out London’s Borderline this April 3rd, The Coronas will play in 7 major UK cities, before returning to London for the final show of the tour.

The 8 date UK tour will coincide with the release of their hit single Addicted To Progress. The single is taken from the forthcoming 3rd album Closer To You, which remained in the top 5 Irish Airplay charts for over 13 weeks.

The band have shared the stage with some of music’s most influential acts, including Sir Paul McCartney, Pink and The Script. The Coronas are renowned for their high-energy live shows and have enjoyed a strong, rock and indie following, from their first album.

The Coronas latest hit single Addicted To Progress will be released on May 14 th this year, on Lix Record. Closer To You (out 21 ST May 2012) is the band’s eagerly anticipated follow-up album to Tony Was An Ex Con. The new album, produced by studio legend Tony Hoffer who has worked with such famous names as Air, Beck, The Kooks, Belle and Sebastian, is packed full of catchy, melodic guitar based tracks that The Coronas fans will love to hear played LIVE.

The platinum selling Dublin four piece are set to take on the UK with the release of a new single, new album and London concert.

Currently the biggest selling independent group in Ireland, The Coronas will return to London to play The Borderline on Tuesday 3 April. Renowned for their high energy live shows, they are one of Ireland's hottest tickets. With an ever growing fan base the band sold out six nights at the Olympia last Christmas and have shared the stage with some of music's most influential acts, Paul McCartney, Pink and The Script.

Following a string of sold out dates earlier in the year,  the Platinum selling Dublin four piece band The Coronas have announced a set of UK tour dates in November alongside the release of their new single 'Dreaming Again'.

Tickets for this ten date tour go on sale on Friday  20 July at 10am.

Currently one of the biggest selling independent groups in Ireland, The Coronas renowned high energy show secured them festival dates across Europe. The band went down a spot on Scotland's favourite festival T in the Park and will end the festival season at Rob Ba Bank's Bestival in September.

The Coronas return home to Dublin later this year to perform their biggest headline show to date at The O2.
