Teenage Cancer Trust has just announced that Paul McCartney will kick off this year’s shows at the Royal Albert Hall. The event runs for 6 nights and includes appearances by Example, Pulp, Jessie J, Jason Manford and Florence + The Machine.
One of the most successful singer-song writers in music history, Paul McCartney, will perform for Teenage Cancer Trust on Thursday 29 March. A 15-time Grammy winner and recipient of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement and Trustees Awards, McCartney’s list of accolades reads like no other. Having changed the world of music forever with The Beatles, McCartney has continued to push boundaries for over 40 years. The start of 2012 has seen Paul release a new album Kisses On The Bottom and tracks from this new record will be performed on this special night.
Tickets will be available from 9.30am on Friday 24 February 2012 and can be purchased online royalalberthall.com or by calling the venue box office 0845 401 5030.
Eleven years of concerts have raised over £14 million for Teenage Cancer Trust, making a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer. All money raised has helped the charity to build more specialist teenage cancer units in NHS hospitals across the UK, allowing young people to be treated together with others their own age, in an environment suited to their needs.
