For over 35 years, Marshall Arts has been at the forefront of concert promotion

Associated with a variety of musicians spanning every genre of music over the past four decades, we have been fortunate to have maintained long-standing relationships and a loyal client base.

Under the guidance of managing director Barrie Marshall the company has transformed young hopefuls – such as The Commodores, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston, through to Destiny’s Child, and Katie Melua – into superstar box office attractions.

In recent years, we were the driving force behind a worldwide tour for P!NK, which sold over three million tickets. We toured Paul McCartney around the UK, Europe, North and South America - making him yet again one of the hottest tickets on the planet - brought Tina Tuner’s sensational farewell tour to the UK and Europe, and had Herbie Hanock and Lang Lang - two of the greatest pianists in the world - perform together for the second time ever (after their performance on the Grammys) at London’s Royal Albert Hall. We also re-introduced Elton John and Ray Cooper for another wonderful night at the same venue.

2011 will be another memorable year with the first dates by the unmistakable Sade in seventeen years and the return of Elton John and his band, who play stadium dates over the summer. To this day, one of the secrets of Marshall Arts’ global success is our ability to spot and develop new opportunities ahead of its competitors. A passion and dedication to concert events has propelled us to an international status, with historic projects such as the Nelson Mandela tribute concert in honour of his 70th birthday (televised worldwide) and a number of Asian events starring Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, which saw the first ever seated event at Wembley Stadium in September 1990.

Adding to a portfolio of firsts, Marshall Arts was responsible for the landmark re-opening of Wembley Stadium with a George Michael concert (which sold out in two days) and the first post-refurbishment concert at Hampden Park with Rod Stewart. Norwich's Carrow Road, Plymouth's Home Park, and Reading's Madejski Stadium are amongst the venues that have chosen Marshall Arts for their inaugural events.

Marshall Arts has broken records (Paul McCartney played to 184,00 fans in Rio, Brazil) and even built venues from scratch when the occasion demanded it - we created an arena on the Liverpool Docks fit for 50,000 fans, culminating in a show-stopping performance by the ex-Beatle.

“The coolest promoter in the world. He and I have stumped some stages round this planet and he is truly a great man and a total pleasure to work with.” - Sir Paul McCartney

The company has a flair for blurring the boundaries of a live venue, creating events in historic stately homes around Britain for Tina Turner, the Royal Phillharmonic Orchestra and Elton John. July 2008 saw us stage the first series of concerts at Mercedes Benz World in Weybridge, adapting several features of the driving facility for a concert environment. This was the first of its kind at this venue and set the benchmark for finding innovative and interesting locations to stage outdoor shows.

We love finding previously unused stadium venues for our artists, and have set industry trends on a number of occasions. Whether it's the scaffolding in Moscow's Red Square, the Pyramids in Egypt, or disturbing the Pope's sleep, we pride ourselves on finding diplomatic and proactive solutions to any event problem. In the words of Billy Sloan and Chas de Whalley, “where others zigged, Marshall zagged”.

Respected by the industry's most renowned players yet always looking to break new ground, Marshall Arts is excited to nurture any kind of creative talent in the live arena.
